The BestCities Global Alliance has announced that Cape Town, South Africa, will serve as the host city for its flagship Global Forum from January 21 to 24, 2027.
This landmark edition marks the 10th anniversary of the event, which is set to convene a cohort of international association leaders under the theme, Connected by Purpose: Global Perspectives, Shared Values.
The 2027 Forum was originally slated to take place in Dubai, UAE; however, the Alliance confirmed that the decision to relocate was a precautionary measure following a careful review of regional developments. Organisers emphasised that the relationship with the Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism remains strong, with future collaborations already in active discussion.
