PCMA has formed the inaugural Convene 4 Climate (C4C) Advisory Board, a multidisciplinary collective designed to transition the industry from conversation to measurable action.
The group consists of 14 global leaders spanning climate science, finance, conservation, and event logistics, signalling a shift toward a more rigorous, data-driven approach to sustainability.

The board’s primary objective is to guide the strategic evolution of C4C, transforming it into a coordinated global movement. By integrating expertise from outside the traditional events sector – including representatives from leading geophysical unions, international finance institutes, and global conservation organisations – the initiative aims to tackle the complex challenges of carbon reduction and ecological regeneration.
These leaders will develop sustainability frameworks tailored to specific regional markets, create toolkits to help organisations implement greener practices, and evaluate emerging innovations that can reduce the environmental footprint of large-scale gatherings.
This expansion is bolstered by a foundational alliance of major industry players, including international tourism bureaus and major aviation and hospitality brands. This partnership highlights the cross-sector cooperation required to address the logistics of international travel, venue management, and regional tourism.
As the business events sector faces increasing pressure to align with global climate goals, the C4C Advisory Board will serve as a bridge between high-level climate science and the practicalities of event execution.
Members will act as regional ambassadors and support the strategic development of global platforms, ensuring that the movement’s influence extends across diverse global markets.
