Business Events Tokyo recently announced that Tokyo has won the bid to host the 9th International Symposium on Meniere’s Disease and Inner Ear Disorders.

The event is scheduled to take place from February 24-27, 2027, and is expected to draw 1,000 delegates from both Japan and around the globe.

The symposium will serve as a vital platform for leading experts in Neuro-otology to discuss and present the latest groundbreaking research in the field.

Held approximately every five years since its inception in Germany in 1981, this will mark the second time the symposium has returned to Japan, following a successful gathering in Kyoto in 2010.

Tokyo’s winning bid was attributed to several key factors, including its attractions, easy accessibility for international travellers, and substantial in-kind and financial support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau.
