Society of Association Executives debuts in Bengaluru

By providing a unified platform, SAE will foster collaboration and policy advocacy that directly fuels the growth of domestic and international congresses

The Society of Association Executives (SAE) has officially launched, establishing India’s first unified platform for association leadership and professional excellence.

The debut, held at the Hilton Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park, marks a pivotal moment intended to empower associations and catalyse global collaboration.

SAE is positioned as the central body for thousands of Indian associations across diverse sectors that collectively contribute billions to the nation’s economic development and set professional standards. The organisation aims to provide the collective power and strategic vision needed for the sector’s continued growth.

The initiative is a collaboration between GConvene, led by Kalpana Uberoi, and International Association Management expert Gregg H. Talley. Serving as strategic advisors, they will guide SAE’s mission to elevate national standards using decades of global best practices.

Ramesh S. Bilimagga, president of SAE, said during the gathering: “Strong associations don’t just serve industries, they reshape them. They do not just support communities, they elevate them. And they don’t just strengthen nations; they define their future.”

General secretary Ishwar Gilada reinforced this vision, highlighting SAE’s role as a bridge linking India’s associations with the global community for shared learning, advocacy, and innovation.

A core component of the launch was the unveiling of SAE’s comprehensive digital ecosystem, a hub for knowledge exchange, leadership development, and global connectivity.

Uberoi also highlighted that SAE is strategically aligned with the American Society of Association Executives, European Society of Association Executives, and African Society of Association Executives.
