The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has received official approval to launch its Certified International Convention Specialist (CICS) programme in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The endorsement, issued by the National Center for Strategic Partnerships under the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, allows ICCA to deliver its global education framework across the Kingdom.

The CICS programme will be delivered by the Saudi Entertainment and Event Management Academy. Using a blended learning model of theory and practical training, the curriculum covers international congress management; destination management and competitive bidding; strategic marketing and operational planning; and economic and social impact measurement.

The initiative is a direct contribution to Saudi Vision 2030, supporting the goal to grow the domestic business events sector to US$4.6 billion by 2030.
