AHOCA launches Asia Chapter in Hong Kong

The American Hotel Owners Charitable Association (AHOCA) has launched its Asia Chapter to connect US and Asian hospitality investors, owners, and developers.

Powered by CSTS Enterprises and Connexus Travel, the official launch took place at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong.

AHOCA aims to bridge US-Asia hospitality markets

The invitation-only event gathered senior hotel owners, family office principals, and real estate financiers from the US, Hong Kong, and Macau to discuss cross-border capital partnerships and long-term asset ownership.

“Hong Kong remains one of the most important bridges between global capital and operating expertise,” said Abel Zhao, AHOCA Asia president and executive director. “This launch is not about transactions, but about building trusted relationships between owners and professionals who share a long-term view of hospitality.”

The closed-door forum’s key discussions centred on cross-border growth – including Chinese brands expanding globally, US real estate development, and Hong Kong companies entering the US market – as well as market dynamics like evolving hospitality brand value and leveraging Hong Kong as a regional business springboard. Additionally, leaders addressed talent development, focusing on training the workforce to meet the demands of the modern experience economy.

AHOCA plans to use the new Hong Kong hub to anchor future Asia-based initiatives, including executive forums, working groups, and regular knowledge exchanges.
