Octavio B. Peralta, founder and CEO of the Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives, is the new executive director of Global Compact Network Philippines (GCNP), replacing Cynthia Arce who has opted to pursue another endeavour.
GCNP is the local entity of the United Nations Global Compact, which encourages businesses and companies to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies. It has 15,000 signatory organizations and 69 local networks globally.
Bobby, as Peralta is known in the industry, is the former secretary-general of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP), a position he held for more than 16 years. During his term, he was twice designated as secretary-general of the World Federation of Development Financing Institutions.
Meanwhile, Peralta has recommended Enrique “Boyet” Florencio, an erstwhile officer in charge of operations, to replace him as ADFIAP’s secretary-general.
